Onion Rice (6 Ingredients





Hello everyone I hope you all enjoy reading my blog. Today I am going to share this special recipe with you which is easy to make and perfect for all family. It tastes so good and is totally worth whatever little time you can spend in kitchen. The taste increases many folds if served with raita or chutney prepared to taste. So without much ado let’s get started


Preparation time - 5min
Cooking time – 15min


Ingredients

Oil /Ghee                              
 Rice – 2 cups
Onion -3 medium
Turmeric powder – ½ tablespoon
Chilli powder – 3 to 4 tablespoon (or as per your taste)
Salt as per your taste


Method:

Heat some oil or ghee in a pressure cooker
Add finely chopped onion and sauté it for 5 min until it become soft, we don’t want onion to be red
Once onion become soft add turmeric, chilli powder, salt and mix it well
Then add one cup of water and cooked it on high flame till you get about 4 to 5 whistles in pressure cooker
Open the lid and mash the onion so that it form a gravy
Then add rice mix it well and add a water to cover up the rice and again cook it on high flame till you get 2 whistles.
Now serve the rice by garnishing it with freshly chopped coriander
I have topped the rice with some fry paneer and boiled egg, I also sprinkle some chat masala just for taste you can do whatever you like it is optional.

My Special Cheese Puff






Today I am going to share with you a very quick and easy breakfast recipe that everyone will love, this is simple and easy puff stuffed with cheese and capsicum which you can enjoy with tea or coffee. The best thing about this recipe is that it is pretty flexible you can make a big batch of batter and can add whatever addition you want – herbs, mushroom or any vegetable you prefer. I hope you will enjoy this recipe so let’s get started

Preparation time – 5min
Cooking time – 15 to 18 min


Ingredient
For batter:
Egg – 2
Plain flour-1/3 cup
Milk – ½ cup
Pinch of salt

For stuffing:
Cheese, Capsicum, Mixed herb, Salt, Black pepper

Preparation
In a mixing bowl mix egg, flour, milk and pinch of salt to form a smooth batter and keep a side.
In another bowl mix all stuffing together and keep it as side

Method
·  Preheat your oven at 200 degree (F)
·  Take a muffin pan and put ½ tablespoon oil into each of the 12 compartments and place it in oven for 2 min so that oil get hot
·  Carefully remove the tray from oven and pour 2 to 3 tablespoon batter in each compartments and place it in oven again for 5 min
·  Once you found the batter started rising take the tray from oven and put the stuffing and again place the tray in oven
· Cook it for about 15 -18 min or until it have puffed up and light brown

Serve it warm to enjoy the taste to fullest as once it cool, cheese could be chewy. Please let me know your comment and suggestion

Baby potato in green curry





 At times a quick and tasty recipe is what we wish after a long tiring day. Moreover, there should be no compromise on the taste either. So here is something you can try. I have named this – Baby potato in Green Curry. I tried this recipe and my family love it so I decided to share with you all. The dish goes well with Puri or Plain Paratha or simple Chapattis. I hope you enjoy the recipe.


Preparation time - 5min
Cooking time –15 min


Ingredients:

Medium size Onion – 1
Medium size Tomato – 1
Garlic -5 to 6cloves
Ginger – 2inches
Green chilli
Boiled baby potato -10 to 12
Cashew nuts – 10 to 12
Spinach -150 gram
Grated Paneer –1cup
Green peas – 1 cup
Turmeric powder – 1teaspoon
Coriander powder – ½ tablespoon
Cumin powder – ½ tablespoon
Chilli powder – 1 tablespoon (or as per your taste)
Salt
Vegetable oil or butter
Garam masala: 2 green cardamom, 1 black cardamom, 1tsp cumin, 1tsp black pepper, 2 to 3 bay leaves


Method:

• In a microwave bowl add chopped onion, tomato, ginger, garlic, spinach, cashew nuts, some salt, 1table spoon oil and cover the bowl with thin film by making a 2 to 3 hole.
• Then place a bowl in a microwave and cook it at full power for 5min.
• Then make a smooth paste of it by adding a paneer in mixer grinder and keep it aside.
• Heat oil or butter in a pan and add all the gram masala after that add green peas and sauté in for a second. (here I have taken frozen peas)
• Add paste and mix it well by adding salt as per your taste and sauté it on high flame for 5 to 10 min.
• Add all the spices and sauté it for a min
• Add boiled potato, mix it well
• Add little water and leave it at medium flame for 5min
• Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve with hot paratha or puri.

Almond cookies ball







Everybody like to have some snacks or biscuits along with tea and coffee. Today I am going to share with you a very quick and simple cookies recipe which taste good and made in just 10 min with only 4 ingredients. It is very easy and quick way to enjoy a tasty snacks and if you love almond then this is the recipe for you .So let’s get started


Preparation time – 5min
Cooking time- 10 min


Ingredients:

Almond powder- 2 ½ cup
Self-rising flour- 3 tablespoon
Vanilla extract- ½ tablespoon
Condense milk – 2/3 cup (i.e. twice 1/3 cup)
Vegetable oil for making ball


Method:
•  Preheat your oven at 180 degree.
•  In a mixing bowl mix all the dry ingredients first and mix them altogether.
•  Then add vanilla extract and condense milk and mix together, you can use spoon or your hand to  mix it well.
•  Dough will be sticky once it mix well.
• Then put some oil in your  palm and make a small ball
•  Place it in a baking tray and bake it until it turn slightly brown.

(Note: Don’t over bake the cookies otherwise it turn hard just wait until it turn into slightly golden brown)

Grandmom receipe ( Chana curry)



Hello everyone today I am going to share the recipe of spicy chana curry .This recipe is inspired by my mom and my  whole family loves it This  dish taste good with freshly prepared layered Paratha or plain Jira Rice. So let’s get started.

Preparation time: 5 min
Cooking time: 20 min
Serve: 3 to 4



Ingredient:
Overnight Soaked Chana – 3cup (coarse grinned 2cup of soaked chana)
Chopped onion – 2cup (3 medium size)
Tomato – 1 1½
Green chilli (as per your taste)
Ginger garlic paste – 2 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric powder -1 teaspoon
Coriander powder – 1 ½ teaspoon
Cumin powder – 2 teaspoon
Chana masala – 3 to 4 tablespoon (you can add gram masala powder instead of Chana masala powder)
Garam masala – 1 tablespoon cumin, 1tsp black pepper, 2 green cardamom, 2 to 3 bay leaves( optional)

Method:
The dish is best prepared in a pressure cooker. Please follow the simple steps mentioned below:
·         Heat about 1 1/2 tablespoon oil in a pan and fry grinned Chana until it became slightly yellow. It should not take more than 5 to 8 mins for on maximum heat. Again soak the fried Chana in 4 cup of lukewarm water and keep that aside.
·         Heat oil in a pressure cooker and once oil is hot add all the masala and salt to taste along with chopped onion.
·         Once the onion became slightly golden brown add ginger garlic paste stir It for a  minute and then add chopped tomato
·         Add all the spices along with 1cup of water and close the pressure cooker lid. Base gravy will be ready in 3 whistles.
·         Open the lid and put the whole Chana and coarsely grind Chana soaked in step 1 with water. Stir the mixture and then again put the lid back on.
·         Then cooked it at high flame till you get 5 to 6 whistles.
·         Garnish with freshly chopped coriander and served with paratha or rice.
