Potato in Mustard curry



Potato is such a vegetable which everybody like to eat and today I am going to share with you a very spicy and delicious potato curry recipe. My mom made this recipe and we all love it.This is very simple and easy to make. So let’s get started

Preparation time – 5min
Cooking time- 30 to 35 min
Served 3 to 4




 Ingredient:
Fenugreek seed – 1 teaspoon
Potato – 3 medium size (cut into shape you like in a bigger chunk)
Tomato – 2 medium size
Green coriander
Mustard oil
Salt as per taste

 Masala:
Turmeric powder – 1 1 ½ teaspoon
Coriander powder – 2 ½ teaspoon
Cumin powder – 2 ½ teaspoon
Chilli powder – 3 tablespoon (or as per your taste)
Mustard powder – ½ cup
Ginger garlic paste – 2 teaspoon
Green chilli – 3 to 4


Method:
·         Heat oil in a pan and fry potato until it slightly red ,then keep it a side
·         Mix all masala with water to form a paste and keep it a side
·         Heat 3 tablespoon oil in another pan and once oil hot add fenugreek seed
·         After  a second once seed turn it colour add ginger garlic paste along with chopped tomato and green chilli
·         Once tomato get soft add the masala paste and saute it continuously at high flame for 10 to 12 min in between add little water while frying so that masala does not stick into pan.
·         Once masala is fried then add water for a gravy as much you like I have added 4 cup
·         Keep it on high flame and wait for a boil, let it boil for a 15 min in between keep stirring the gravy once gravy become consistent and a little thicker.
·         Then add fry potato and again cook for just 5 min.
            Garnish with fresh green coriander and serve hot with plain chapatti or rice
